our work > Camp Jeep China 2007
Held throughout the U.S., Europe and even Egypt for years, Camp Jeep is among the premier owner loyalty events in the world. Still, during the 24 years Chrysler has sold Jeeps in China, owners and enthusiasts in that country have never come together for a single Jeep-sponsored event — until now.
Organized by Chrysler Group China Sales Limited and ESI, Camp Jeep China 2007 let Chinese consumers and journalists experience the excitement and thrill of the Jeep brand in a spectacular setting.
The three-day event, held outside Beijing, had four off-road trails. Some were scenic; others required 4WD Low the entire way. With guidance from ESI’s professional drive instructors, guests could drive their own vehicles or new Jeeps like Commander, Grand Cherokee and Compass. Two- and four-door Wranglers that will be available in China next year were also on display.
Camp Jeep China offered a host of lifestyle activities, including a climbing wall, an adventure tower with zip lines, a mountain bike trail, an ATV course, bungee bouncing, an inflatable playland for kids, and more. Live entertainment, good food and a chance to interact with Jeep engineers added to the festivities. More than 780 Jeeps and 2,800 people attended.
Staging Camp Jeep China had its challenges, such as time zones and culture and language barriers. But those were overcome by the ESI team in China that managed crew, clients, suppliers, government officials and, literally, herds of sheep walking past the grounds.
Camp Jeep China had all the elements: great driving courses, great lifestyle experiences, a great opening night program with a concert and fireworks, and a lineup of new Jeeps. Chinese customers already love their Jeeps – Camp Jeep China helped take that passion for the Jeep brand to a new level.
