our work > GM: AutoShow in Motion
Finding the time to properly research and test drive a new vehicle can be tough. To help, ESI worked with GM to create AutoShow in Motion, an innovative way to research, shop and drive a range of GM vehicles plus competitors.
People who attended the event could test drive anything from a high-performance Chevrolet Corvette to an off-road Hummer – all without stepping into a dealership. Drive courses included something for passenger cars, luxury cars, trucks, large SUVs and an off-road course. Each area had a certified car seat technician who would install car seats into test cars. A free café, a children’s area where they could ride tricycles, and booths offering information about XM satellite radio and OnStar rounded out the event.
Managing all of this, ESI provided staffing and logistics support for more than 23 General Motors AutoShow in Motion (ASIM) programs. The traveling auto show could be sized up or down to fit any venue and the number of expected participants. In one year, the tour visited over 30 cities in the U.S. while creating more than 4 million test drives for GM. |
