our work > Kia Dealer Sales Training
For more than three years, ESI and Kia have collaboratively created a successful string of dealer training events that have measurably increased the product knowledge – and sales effectiveness – of the Kia sales team in the United States.
Kia’s first national sales training ride and drive event was the “2004 Kia Charge Ahead Spectra and Amanti Ride and Drive,” a two-team, 29-event tour that visited 20 cities. After the event, knowledge about the Spectra, Amanti and key competitors increased 28 percent for the Kia salespeople.
In 2005, ESI helped Kia execute the “Road to More Sportage Ride and Drive,” a 20-city tour that trained more than 3,000 sales staff. The ride and drive featured some unconventional surprises: a guerilla video competitive insight presentation, a hybrid on- and off-road track, and a powerful product demonstration arena.
More recently, ESI managed an Optima and Sedona dealer training event. Held in Sedona, Ariz., the program had two six-hour sessions per day that trained 2,750 sales, service and parts professionals. The tour used an interactive kiosk registration system, featured audio headset discovery centers, and an Action Satisfaction Challenge piqued everyone’s interest.
