When the ultra-luxurious Maybach brand launched in the U.S. in 2003, it required a new type of service. To help communicate the exclusive nature of these vehicles, ESI helped Maybach introduce itself and connect with people in a meaningful way.
We began by reviewing the projects we had completed for Mercedes-Benz in the past, and then we came up with something fresh: the Maybach Chasseur, a fully trained Subject Matter Expert with equal parts product demonstrator, chauffeur and concierge.
With the Chasseur program, ESI delivered a unique vehicle experience to a host of people: consumers, dealers, journalists, celebrities and world leaders or heads of state. Our experts took Maybach on the road and let people get in, see, hear, feel and drive. We took Maybach to luxury resorts, four-star restaurants, VIP receptions, private parties, gala dinners and nightclub openings.
After each encounter, we filed detailed reports to regional Maybach and MBUSA management outlining the quality of the leads as well as any “hints” the customer had given about their preferences. When called upon, we followed up with current and potential customers and often facilitated the sales process through our relationships with customers and Maybach sales staff.
This sustained effort and on-the-ground work gleaned valuable information about potential Maybach customers. It also helped Maybach significantly boost awareness and, ultimately, commitment to buy.
