CDL Truck Driver
Licensed to operate "A" tractor and trailer or "B" straight truck with airbrakes to and from event site. Maintain and record all documentation for truck services. Also, extensive travel required for providing setup, operation and teardown of programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination, usually long distances
- Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills
- Maintain driver log according to D.O.T. regulations and submit trip to reports to Program Manager
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies before and after trips, and submit condition report
- May perform emergency roadside repairs (changing tires or installing light bulbs)
- Maintain daily telephone contact with Program Manager while traveling
- Responsible for all truck receipts and expense reports
- Submit to drug testing as required by law
- Assist workers in loading and unloading trucks
- Perform on site duties at events
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Class "A" Endorsement or Class "‘B" Endorsement
- Pass driving test
- Valid medical card
- Superior organization and multitasking skills
- Ability to provide leadership and direction to maximize staff productivity
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Trained in all areas required of event specialist functions, including knowledge of various tent style assemblies
- Over-the-road experience preferred
