ESI Joins Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC)

Reflecting ESI’s commitment to the development of minority businesses, ESI has joined the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC) as a Corporate Member as defined by the National Minority Supplier Development Council Board of Directors.

This new membership means ESI is committed to building strategic partnerships with certified Minority Owned Businesses and establishing strong Supplier Diversity initiatives which are critical success factors for competing in both global and local markets.

“We are thrilled to join the MMBDC and think that it makes a lot of sense on many different levels,” said ESI president Kevin Otis. “Being certified as a member of the council reflects our goal of not only supporting the many minority-owned suppliers we have been working with for years, but our membership also supports our business goal of expanding ESI as a leading event solutions provider to companies across the world.”

Working with minority-owned suppliers brings competitive advantages. Minority businesses have powerful, loyal customer connections because these companies have a strong understanding of their customers’ unique heritage and culture. Such insight enables them to create products and services that are in demand within a specific market segment.

Membership in the MMBDC creates opportunities for companies, large or small, to network and plan together for their mutual success. With access to 600 corporate members and 1,700 certified minority business enterprises, members are able to focus on the multicultural market like never before.
